A walk through history

In ancient times each of Jersey’s parishes had a path known as Les Perquages linking its parish church to the sea. Island law proclaimed that people due to face Jersey’s Royal Court to answer charges against them, were able to take refuge in their parish church for up to eight days. On the ninth day they were forced to choose between accepting the punishment of the Royal Court or leaving Jersey forever. Those who chose to leave the Island were able to use Les Perquages as an escape route to a waiting boat, in the knowledge that, while on Les Perquage they were imune from arrest. St. Peter’s Perquage path runs directly behind what is now Midvale Apartments.

The monthly rental is inclusive of oil, water and parish rates as well as two car parking spaces. Residents are responsible for opening their own electric account with the JEC for lighting and electrical appliances, but not for heating. The small well-equipped gym is conveniently located in the basement allowing easy access for all residents for a good daily work out.
